Borrowing from the Transportation Action Plan of the Westchester County Global Warming Task Force, GreenYorktown’s Transportation Committee is working to accomplish the following goals in the community:

• Partner to reduce or eliminate transportation needs

• Increase the of use of mass transit

• Promote the use of alternate modes of transportation

• Encourage the retrofitting of vehicles to run on cleaner, more environmentally friendly fuels

• Replace vehicles with more fuel-efficient, cleaner choices

• Change vehicle operating behavior to save fuel and reduce emissions
